Meet Brix Boxer
Everybody called him Brix, but it had nothing to do with throwing punches. In the late ’80s, Brix was the neighborhood sound-system fixer—the dog who could bring a tired speaker back to life before the first dancer stepped into the circle.
He learned electronics after school at a small repair counter, then spent summer weekends helping local crews wire their block-party setups. The orange jacket made him easy to find when a cable went quiet or a turntable lost a channel. Calm under pressure and serious about the sound, Brix kept the music moving without needing the spotlight.
